Berane's small size makes the city center particularly accessible on foot, with cafes, restaurants, and basic services within a reasonable walking distance for travelers. The central area is compact, allowing easy exploration, although venturing into neighborhoods beyond may require longer treks or different modes of transportation. While convenient for short visits focusing on the town center, accessing outskirts solely by foot can be challenging.

Berane's public transportation primarily consists of buses that connect it to other cities across Montenegro and some nearby countries. However, the town's local public transit system is minimal and less suited for daily inner-city travel, which may limit its appeal for travelers relying on buses to navigate locally.
