While the compact city center benefits travelers seeking direct access to amenities, the overall spread of the city may challenge those who prefer to accomplish daily tasks entirely on foot without resorting to motorized options.

Although Buri Ram has a local bus system known as songthaews, coverage and frequency can be limited, potentially complicating straightforward access to some areas.
