Walkability
Ibiza features walkable areas, especially around Ibiza Town and San Antonio, where travelers can easily enjoy local attractions, shops, and eateries on foot. The island's more touristic neighborhoods are pedestrian-friendly, promoting a leisurely exploration of its vibrant streets and beaches. However, for those looking to discover the island's hidden gems and more secluded spots, additional transportation is often necessary, prompting travelers to balance walking with other modes of travel.
Public Transit
Ibiza's public transport system, primarily buses, connects main towns and popular tourist spots, offering a budget-friendly travel option. The bus network is useful for reaching beaches and party destinations, especially with services like the summer 'Discobus.' However, the less frequent service on some routes might require planning, and relying exclusively on buses could limit itinerary flexibility, making taxis or ride-sharing a more adaptable choice for exploring the island.
Bikeability
Cycling in Ibiza is a viable option for travelers, thanks to its compact size and appealing climate. There are established bike routes and rentals available, making it accessible for both casual and serious cyclists. While the terrain includes some hills, many areas have made improvements in cycling infrastructure. However, traffic and inconsistent availability of dedicated bike lanes can pose challenges, urging cyclists to remain cautious and plan their routes wisely.

So it's like a party island, but the clubs are a bit like when you were 16 and you went to the local nightclub in your hometown. It's not very special. Definitely not as decorated and big and modern like clubs in the rest of the world now. I understand Ibiza's legacy in electronic music history very well. But I just feel it's more like a money making factory for DJs with weekly residencies and British, Dutch, German and some American holidayers coming in to spend the money. Which is all good but it doesn't feel it's the place for electronic music now anymore.
Apart from that there's also just not much to do here. You can go on a boat. You can go the old town and see some old architecture with tourist shops with stuff bought mostly from on Aliexpress and Temu.
If you try get a massage or haircut or pedicure or anything, it's usually full, just like many of the good restaurants. I understand this. But it's not like you can't scale this up. In Bali, a similar island, you always have stuff available because they just open new stores, cafes, restaurants. Ibiza instead feels like that happens less.
So yeah a bit of a basic island in my opinion. It's behind of islands in the US, South America, or even Asia. I give it a 6/10.
