Additionally, a car-free section between Koper and Izola adds to the walkability, allowing travelers to explore comfortably on foot.

Izola's public transit system consists of local Arriva bus lines, which connect to nearby towns like Koper, Portorož, and Piran. This provides an economical way for travelers to explore the surrounding areas without a car. Although buses offer regular service and connections to smaller towns and even Trieste, Italy, the frequency and coverage might be less comprehensive than what you'd find in a larger city, which could impede spontaneous trips to more distant or remote areas.
