While it offers pockets where walking is feasible, the suburban and sprawling layout, coupled with the focus on ease of driving and golf cart use typical of a retirement community, make it challenging for travelers to rely on walking. Essential amenities like cafes, shops, and coworking spaces are not densely concentrated.

The public transportation options in Sun City Center are limited and not ideally suited for a traveler seeking convenience and coverage. Although there is a bus service, such as the 571 route, it does not operate frequently enough for regular commuting. Internal tram services cater mainly to residents, and while Uber or taxi services are available, they might lead to higher transportation costs.

Sun City Center offers some potential for biking, but it may not meet the needs of travelers looking for a comprehensive, safe biking network. The area features flat terrain, which makes biking easier, yet the limited bike lanes or paths may not cover all necessary destinations. Although there is an emphasis on bike safety through local initiatives, the infrastructure is not fully supportive of a safe or enjoyable biking experience.
