Canillo offers a relatively walkable environment, especially for travelers situated in the town center. The availability of local amenities such as shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues like the Palau de Gel make daily tasks accessible on foot. However, the uneven and hilly terrain can pose challenges for those who prefer extensive walking, and reaching outskirts requires additional transport. Therefore, while a traveler can manage short trips on foot, exploring beyond the town center might need alternative modes of transportation.

Public transit in Canillo relies mainly on a network of buses, including routes like L3, L4, and BN2, connecting the town with other parts of Andorra. This service is fairly reliable and affordable, making it feasible for travelers to move between main destinations such as Andorra la Vella.
