Ciudad Obregon offers a somewhat walkable environment for travelers, with several neighborhoods providing easy access to daily amenities on foot, such as restaurants and certain leisure spots like the Nainari Lagoon. However, the city is generally car-dependent, which means that not every area is equally convenient for walking. Travelers may need to carefully select their accommodations to be close to where they most frequently need to visit, such as cafes and coworking spaces, although some errands might still require a vehicle.

The public transportation in Ciudad Obregon is reasonably good, featuring a well-organized bus network that is affordable and useful for exploring the city and nearby locations.
