Corfu Town, especially the Old Town, offers a charming and pedestrian-friendly environment with its labyrinth of narrow streets, ensuring an enjoyable experience on foot. It's easy to wander and soak in the rich history at your own pace. However, for travelers looking to explore beyond the town, the walkability decreases as you move to more distant villages and beaches where walking becomes less practical due to distance and terrain.

Corfu's public transport features a bus system with city and intercity routes that connect the town with broader island locations efficiently. The buses offer an economical way to reach popular destinations, but their irregular frequency, especially in remote areas, can limit spontaneous travel.
