Łódź boasts a robust public transportation system, featuring trams and buses that cover the city efficiently. The integration of around 10 tram routes and 80 bus lines ensures that travelers can navigate the city with relative ease. Tickets are interchangeable between buses and trams and are conveniently available through various channels. Trams run frequently during the day, albeit with reduced frequency in the evenings and on weekends, and night buses maintain connectivity throughout the city overnight.

With its largely flat terrain, Łódź provides some ease for cyclists. The city includes bike lanes and paths, particularly in busy pedestrian areas like Piotrkowska Street, and supports biking through its 'Rowerowe Łódzkie' bike-sharing system. However, heavy traffic on major roads can pose challenges, and although improvements are underway, the cycling infrastructure isn't comprehensive yet.
