Santiago de Querétaro’s Centro is exceptionally walkable, offering pedestrian-friendly streets and narrow alleys perfect for exploring on foot. Travelers can easily access cafés, restaurants, and cultural sites within this charming area. The flat terrain further enhances its accessibility, making daily errands straightforward without needing a vehicle. However, for those venturing beyond the historic center, other transportation options might be necessary.

Santiago de Querétaro’s public transportation system serves its locals and visitors with over 70 bus lines that provide good coverage across the city and suburbs. Buses run frequently and also include some night routes, thus facilitating travel without a personal vehicle. While buses can get crowded, and the system isn't extensive enough to be entirely reliable at all times, it pairs well with rideshare services to cover more ground.
