The compact layout allows travelers to explore landmarks like the Smederevo Fortress easily on foot. Most errands and daily activities can be performed without a car, making it ideal for those who prefer walking to get around.

Public transportation in Smederevo is serviceable, mainly connecting the city to Belgrade via buses that run frequently. Within Smederevo, the local bus system provides some coverage, but the absence of a train service limits broader connectivity.
