West Hollywood is an incredibly walkable area, often referred to as "Walkable WeHo" for its dense urban layout. Within just 1.9 square miles, travelers will find an abundance of amenities like cafes, shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Key streets like the Sunset Strip offer vibrant scenes easily explored on foot. Although pedestrian safety is generally prioritized, occasional distracted drivers are a minor concern to watch for.

West Hollywood has decent public transportation options. The local Cityline buses make it easy to get around the area, and connections to the broader LA Metro system provide further access into the city. Additional services like the WeHo PickUp, a free weekend trolley, enhance accessibility and cater to travelers enjoying the nightlife. While transit relies on regional services with possible transfers, it provides a solid option for those without a personal vehicle.

West Hollywood is reasonably bikeable with bike lanes on key streets like Santa Monica Boulevard, supported by the city's ongoing efforts to improve cycling infrastructure.
